“I love you” are thought to be the three most important words. But in light of a story in the Bible (Luke 7:36-8:3), the words “I forgive you” may be the three most important words.

As David Lose writes: “no matter how much we profess our love, we fall short (as does the other person). They are not - we are not- despite our best efforts fully loving persons which is why “I forgive you” end up being the three words that make the other three words even half believable.”

Pastor John has heard from several listeners who wanted to know more about the matter of forgiveness. When you’ve been forgiven, all that is left is gratitude. And when you forgive others, all that’s left is freedom and possibility.
