International Overdose Awareness Day “Reflections of Healing and Hope”

Plans are underway for what promises to be a very inspirational and informative afternoon and evening highlighting awareness around issues including substance misuse and mental health challenges.
From 4:00-6:15 PM, there will be booths with many representatives from community organizations, a food truck, a naloxone (“Narcan”) workshop and an outdoor art gallery featuring pieces from local high school students inspired by the theme.
Afterwards, there will be a staged event in “The Grove” (6:15-8:30 PM) with speakers and musical performances and a tribute to those lost to overdoses, those still fighting the battle and those loved ones impacted.
If you are interested in helping to plan and implement this community-wide event, please email Liz Beatty (aybeatty@comcast.net).
